    This is extremely weird -

    Has anybody read or seen "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne? I'm not a big believer in the Laws of Attraction, Butterfly Effect and claimed "energy fields" that people can influence, but I stumbled across this - Global Orgasm - December 22nd, 2007 - Peace through Global Ecstasy.

    I thought that the concept of simply visualising something and it would appear as per "The Secret" was pretty out there, but the people behind this project claim that by initiating a global orgasm, the release of energy would be sufficient to stop the Iraq War.

    Supposedly the results will be measured by the global conciousness project who run a network of 65 random number generators - they allege that significant human impact can produce an energy that affects the results of the random number generators.

    So do you honestly believe that humans can cause change to the earth's energy / zero point field by thoughts alone?

    Or are these more of a politically based stunt where huge numbers of people believing in something places pressures on Governments to change, like the disapproval of the Iraq War from Australians, British and Americans has changed foreign policies and seen troop withdrawals...

    this theory was used in the last series of Dr Who where the doctor had been rapidly aged by the master and his offsider got away. she travelled the earth for a year telling everyone about the doctor and to concentrate on him on a certain day at a certain time. the message got right around the world and the psychic energy created fed the doctor's regeneration to his correct age.
    sounds like rubbish to me!

    So why is it then when I concentrate really hard that the new disco doesnt magically appear? its all crap, if you can see it its real if you cant it obviously doesnt exist! Take all that stuff with a pinch of salt

    There is always some one out there with strange ideas.

    I'd heard another where the yanks were trying to produce a gas that would immediately give straight men, homosexual urges. Their crazy thery was that if sprayed over enemy territory, the enemy would not want to shoot the nice men on the otherside... ROTFLMAO.. as if!

    OTOH, they might find each other attractive, then you could enialate them whilst they are ..er..busy
