Nuffink!
Even my job means sitting down for 8 hours and I can't leave to go for a walk at lunch time, etc. If I go to the toilet I have to advise Operations and adjacent signal boxes that I'm leaving my desk.
I walk from the carpark to the desk. If I get off a train, I walk 4 metres at most from the train to the desk.
when not too busy and have no family around.. i cycle to work which is 32k's each way and i'll do it 3 to 4 times a week... been a bit slack lately tho as had lots on..
bit of kayaking bit of swimming in the pool, not been to the gym for a year or so tho... which i want to get back into...
even tho i carry plenty of weight... it doesnt stop me cycling and i get into work in only 15 minutes more that driving!
Thanks
Steve
Just did my exercise, hard yakka this scrolling up and down reading this and other threads:D
Baz.
Well this is a motivating topic. Excellent!
I walk the dog 3k's 2 x a week early morning, mountain bike riding once a week (30k ish) and running 7k or 11k once a week.
However, the real motivator comes when committed (no, not into a home) to something such as the "Run for the Kids" comming up in Melbourne on 30th March (14.4k) through the Domain Tunnel & over the Bolte Bridge. You MUST train otherwise you do feel a complete nonce when the wrinklies overtake you (happens to me regularly). Plus $21 of the $35 entry goes to the Royal Childrens Hospital. Now that's a motivator! :D
Well you're all LAZY...
I get up a 2 o'clock in t'morning, half an hour before I go to bed, ride 350km on a fixed-gear bike up a boulder-strewn cliff face. Do 1000 push-ups and 800 sit-ups before setting myself on fire and running 800km in bare feet over broken glass...
Then I start my exercises...
In the couple of months i have been walking i have lost 7 kg's . So happy to be under the 100kg mark .
I have a
PUSH UP
SIT UP
PULL UP
routine I do every morning
I Push up the sheets
I Sit up in the bed
I Pull up my fat ass off the bed......:p
Been sitting here to see what may constitute fitness. Well I work from home so the office is about 20 steps from the bedroom... Fail. To go somewhere, the D3 is about 30 steps then I drive....Fail. If I go to see a client, I generally park as close as possible....Again Fail. Uh ok, I did start Indoor Soccer 2 weeks ago, could only do 5-8 minute spurts before residing to the goals as I thought either a) Im going to die or b) Im going to die:angel:. Seriously though am trying to start some sort of routine as would like to lose 10odd kilos before my 40th and for general overall fitness. I thought stopping drinking beer during the week would help...nada. Good work you other fella's though,
Regards
Stevo
