I dont believe in water restrictions , although I abide by them.
In a regular suburban situation I think we should be alotted X amount of water per person per household at the regular rate. After which the rate should escalate at designated intevals. WE should`nt be dictated (only educated)as 2 what we should be using water 4.
In the job I do I see water cheats constantly & do u know why? because its only a little white lie. Ppl who didnt used 2 water there gardens now do, because if they dont they`re missing out.
I suppose its not quite that simple & I have probably overlooked some considerations , but I think its better 2 educate & alot water rather than have restrictions that ppl flaunt because as I said b4, its only a little white lie.
    Cheers Dean.

I agree fully with the water allocation per household idea. The water authorities say it is "too hard" but I can't see why. Although the water companies claim the'yre big on water conservation, they still make their profits on volume of water used. So how is that ever gonna work ?
Right now there's nothing to stop someone running the shower with a diverter on to the garden for an hour and claiming that as "grey water".
