Seeing that you have all the answers and everything is a figment of their imagination, maybe you can tell me why I have had bladder cancer and leukemia?

Now I was told the bladder caner came from the daptsone anti malarial tablets that the US and AU Governments trialed during the Vietnam conflict. The Leukemia was supposed to be from Agent Orange that I also came in contact with.

Now I know this has SFO to do with aliens, but is it my imagination that I have these cancers?
If so, what book can I read to take them away?
The phenomenon from both has not been good so far.
If it is all in my mind, please let me know
I am genuinely sorry to hear about your medical condition but will make no further comment about it for about three reasons.
    1. I know you didn't really want an answer. You were just trying to make a point.
    2. I know almost nothing about the effects of Agent Orange and Dapstone.
    3. It is serious, important and personal.

So back to things that don't really matter and don't need to be taken seriously, so we can continue the debate without anyone getting upset.

It always amuses me that people who believe in ghosts, UFOs, ESP and various other phenomena accuse non believer of having closed minds.
The way I see it, a person who immediately and unquestioningly accepts a supernatural explanation for everything a bit out of the ordinary has a much more closed mind than someone who looks at the phenomenon from a number of different perspectives and explores a wide range of scientific knowledge to try to find an explanation.

BTW Just because I enjoy a spirited debate doesn't mean I think I have all the answers. In case you missed my earlier comments on this matter I would refer you to post No 66 in this thread.

It's funny isn't it how things can appear so different when viewed from a different situation or perspective.

I thought it was the believers who were so desperately trying to provide evidence to support their belief and that the non-believers were just responding by offering a rational, alternative explanation to some of the points they had raised.

On a more important point, I can never hear that expression about ramming things down someone's throat without thinking of Dame Edna Everage's comment that she didn't mind people talking about oral sex, but she didn't like having it rammed down her throat.

Do you remember the list in "Men in Black" of aliens living on Earth in disguise. I don't remember any of them now, but was amused by it at the time. I think Sylvester Stallone was one.

I'm sure you're right and I seem to remember now that was the one I found particularly clever (and almost believable).

Yes, I agree with you there. I think what separates us from the rest of the animal kingdon is the fact that we do need explanations for what we dont understand. We strive to discover exactly what the phenomenon is, and oce discovered it becomes fact. If not discovered, it becomes myth, or story telling, and here lies the big one, faith.

Its a good thread to see what the thoughts of others are

    I see.
Post 66 - So you think God is a female.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone has different ideas and tastes.

If they didn't we would all be driving the same car of the same colour, living in the same styled house and shooting each other for the same woman!

I cannot believe that we are the only life form in such a vast universe. I also cannot "grip" the idea that the universe is endless. Everything I know, has an end!
