I find the stauns great, except as said can be knocked out of setting if not tightened correctly.
You will want the 6-33psi as they are for letting tyres down only and you are going to be dropping the pressures to around 16-20psi for sand most times.
I have standard set at 12psi (sand) and HD (gifted) set at 26psi(mud, dirt) and change pressure very often to suit conditions. Most of the time I put them in and drive, 5-10 minutes later stop to take off. No waste time and crawling around ;) Have them checked 2 months ago, still correct settings.Quote:

I also have a set of the staun type deflators in the glovebox which I've NEVER actually used ... When setting them up (trying to set them) I found such an erratic variation in pressures when they cut off, that I decided it was a pointless exercise to go any further with them. The variation was about +/- 4psi on 4 wheels when the same deflator was used to deflate all 4 tyres.
I'm very happy with the deflators shown above, my knees and back are fine with bending down to check the pressures as they drop down close to where I want them.
