So sorry to hear. So hard with a family friend (pet). I feel for you as I have 2 young kids and have been through grief with loss of much loved pets. So hard having them put down. You have done the kindest thing rather than an animal suffering. Keep your head up and be strong for your family.

That's tough. Its the worst part of having dogs isn't it.

At least it was pretty quick in the end by the sound of it.

My thoughts go out too. Said goodbye to dogs too many times already in my life.

We adopted Rusty three weeks after letting go of the last of my childhood dogs, and as disloyal as it may sound, a new dog is the only way to feel good about it. Your old pup would have loved to play with other dogs, so I am sure she wouldn't judge too harshly... :)

I still miss my other three, but my current two are my best mates...

they really are the best of friends arnt they....memories my 17 yo kelpie dingo cross died a few yrs back.....best wishes to you and family...

I know you're not in Vic, but the best therapy for us was going and meeting new friends.

So very, very, very ,sorry to hear the news. It's especially hard when it comes on pretty suddenly. They become part of the family, and they are so valuable as pets, friends, partners etc.
