My previous one, a bit lower but still capable of dirt roads.

I just wondered how those utes had 2 x 10 ft Antennas mounted to the front Bull bar and they looked identical? obviously one is for UHF and one is for 27Mhz CB?

I think don't quote me a 27 MHz marine is Often mistakenly called 'marine CB'. Note that 27 MHz marine and 27 MHz CB operate on similar but not the same frequencies. This means that a 27 MHz CB operator cannot talk to a 27 MHz marine user.

sorry for getting sidetracked from you original Thread...

Yep. 27mhz CB has 40 channels and finishes at 27.405mhz where as 27mhz Marine has 16ch and doesn't start until 27.680Mhz.

I like 'old mate' utes. Far more interesting to look at than a sodding BMW or the latest P.O.S Hyundai.

Ute boy scum.I cant stand the bloody things. Bundy drinking clones. No matter where you go they all dress, walk and talk the same. Any car can do a doughnut on dirt or even better wet grass. Spin them at 100 on a dry black top, then come see me. Just as well the dogs they carry on the back have brains because most of the tools in the cab dont. they are what we like to call SPECIAL.....

I don't particularly like them, although I must admit what they do add is a little colour and personality to the humdrum run of traffic that I see most days, which I enjoy.

I guess that says how rarely I see them!!

The same goes for other cars that stand out, whilst I may not share the driver's particular interest, (unless it's a landy ) I appreciate the variety they bring to the roads. Seeing an unusual vehicle often makes a dull commute so much more interesting.
