Hi All,
Just wondering if anybody knows much about them?
We are going to use our '96 Jayco Pelican for the first time over the weekend. We are leaving early in the morning but having issues wit hthe fridge temp.
As it says on the label I turned it on and turned the thermostat knob a 1/4 turn and it went to work. But now it sems to be having issue's getting below 10 dec.
So my main question is on the thermostat knob is the lower the number the colder it is or the other way around?
It go's like this on the knob;
max 6 5 4 3 2 1 off I cant remember what the highest number is but you get the idea.
So when I do what the label says its on about the 3.......
any help please? the wife is starting to panic about the bloody milk !![]()

Andrew, make sure it is perfectly level
Recommend you take a small spirit level for the purpose.
In Katherine, I found with my Electrolux 3 way built into the camper that two concrete pavers too high on one side was enough to stop the fridge working efficiently.
Running on 240 and set on 3, water bottles in the freezer were slowly defrosting after a day or two.
Two pavers under one wheel made it perfectly level. In no time at all the water bottlers were refrozen, even with the setting back on 2.
i reckon I can get away with one paver off level, but obviously not 2.

12 year old fridge......how long has it been sitting around
you might need to take it out and turn it upside down to free up the stuff inside the tubes...cannot remember the name of the stuff, this is what a local repair told me to do
seemed to work
i also took the freezer door off
The procedure actually goes something like, tip onto the boiler side first and wait for the gurgling to stop. Tip upside down and wait for the gurgling to stop. Tip onto the other side (and wait for the gurgling to stop) tip back onto it's top, lean over at 45* and shake the begeezus out of it.
Tip back onto it's feet, wait for the gurgling to stop and then turn back on.
You are re-mixing the ammonia, bromine and water.
But with Andrew's already down to 10*, it may not be a mix issue.
How's the temp this morning, Andrew ?
And did you have it running on 240V, 12V or gas ?
