Angry Just went to go to the servo

Didn't make it out of the drive.
Fired up the beast and clang, clang, clang!
No drive. Flex plate again! I only just fixed it last night. Hope the bolts are still in the bell housing or it's going to be even worse.

    ahh.... George!!!

that is something you really don't need

when you discover the cause it will add to the collective's collective technical knowledge but that doesn't make up for it

....if I was closer I'd lend a hand for the awkward, dreary dismantling & mantling to follow...

'spose you'll miss out on Cooma now??

that's tough luck mate - Laurie

    Yes I walked away.
Yes I am now going and the rig can sulk till I get home sunday night. Will have to drive the Paj. I am thinking about cutting the bell housing with an angle grinder so there is plenty of room to work.
Will calm down by the time I next look at it so will finnish it properly. Just have to drop this lot of oil carefully as it has already required 2 10L bottles of oil after the leak.

What exactly has happened with the flex plate?

Do these run a ring gear plate, then a boss, then a flex plate like V8 rovers?

Being a conversion it has a flywheel, spacer and custom flex plate. I'm hoping it's the bolts again but that also means I have done them 3 times and they are not staying tight.

    Hi Edd,
Sorry to hear of your ongoing tribulations.

I think that you are doing to right thing by going to Cooma. Hopefully, the distance will help & you'll have plenty of people to commiserate with you.

    Fingers crossed for the future,
