Funny John, I haven't seen you at many?
As for myself, I did both courses in low 2nd, and I was very tempted to grab low third on the second one, but thought the marshals might not like that much speed!
Just happen to have a copy of the award in my Land Rover Pic file:-
For some reason can't upload this file but record was 260, at Towcester Racecourse, Northamptonshire, UK, organised by McGuigan Motorsport.
From memory they had to travel over 1km or mile in a continous convoy to qualify.
hmmm,, wasnt there a better one,, maybe in europe?? I seem to remember a road cut into a rock face,,,
This would be the current world record...
http://home.metroweb.co.za/~burgess@metroweb/cape_to_cape.htm
27th April 2007 - 347 vehicles near Cape Town SA.
The critical detail of what they had to do to constitute a world record was to drive the convoy a minimum distance of 3.2km (2mi) with the vehicles no more than two car lengths apart.
Crawled around the track "Rock Crawl". The first (blind fold) stage needed no throttle. Touched once in the second stage and it was caught on the video.
That's sickening.....we could of beaten that easily at cooma.
although the 2 car lengths apart could of been interesting, as the first thing I noticed in the disco convoy was look how fast and sporty my car is, and I can drive rally, golly look at the time sorry old chap must dash, one is late for an important picnic...pip pip toodol loo
In other words for those that don't understand the language of the cheese eaters.......they were all buggering off once of the dirt, and went from having a rather large convoy in front of me.....
To having to put my foot down and speed just so I could keep six discos in camera shot
