The Condamine gorge road (via Boonah) is great- not much of a challenge 4 wheel drive wise but great fun and scenery with 12 or so river crossings, depending on how much rain has fallen - these can be more or less interesting. Killarney is at the southern end with a great pub. If you like steaks - visit the Killarney butcher too.

Mt Mee/Mt Byron on the unmarked tracks. Basically a figure 8 orientated north/south with the Gantry in the middle. The tracks grade from scenic to challenging. The downside is that the main tracks can be very dusty when dry.

Beerwah State forest is good for a days challenging driving. Landcruiser Park is another favourite of mine and great for a weekender.
