My 8595 Braun shaver suddenly decided to fail the other day, I traced the fault to the batteries- I had a couple of ni-mh around and I soldered them in but I must have upset a part of the circuit, since it now is a no go.
However, if you wanted to know how to disassemble a Braun shaver, here is the pics:
The secret is the bottom charging plug surround. Prise it off with a small screwdriver, and the side covers come off.
And then the rest comes apart. The inside connections are springs against copper pads. The rechargeable cells are standard AA size. In the test fit, it powered up ok, but when soldering the bottom end of the cells something went awry.
If anyone has an 85** or 95** series shaver that does not work, I'd be interested in it - I'd like to see if I can swap batteries or if it is a Braun thing.
