A story if you've had a crappy day like me
1pm: I buy a foot long chicken sub at a popular american style sandwich outlet in Clayton. I drive to Monash Clayton campus and leave the sub in the car for an hour whilst I attend a lecture.
2pm: I eat half the said sub on the drive from the Clayton campus to the Caulfield campus.
2.30pm I park at Caulfield in the hot sun for 1 hr, leaving the remaining sub in the Disco.
3.30pm I drive to Ivanhoe to visit someone. I park in the hot sun again for 1.5 hours.
5.00pm I drive home, remembering the remaining sub rolling around in the footwell. Not wanting to waste $7.95... I eat the sub
By god am I sick person right now![]()

As said earlier dont stray far from the ceramics
.............and remember to re-hydrate (hydrolyte is good) 'coz de-hydro causes as much problems as does the threpenny bits.

I made the 1 millionth AULRO post
Reminds me of a trip to China a couple of years ago.
Up in the morning bright and early to pack 3 days of touristing into the one that was available.
Lunch was Duck, leftovers went into the boot of my hosts car, temperature was high 30s.
Next day, same leftovers came out of the boot for lunch, his, not mine.
Cast iron gut, very impressive.
Can`t be that bad , u still posted hrs later.
Cheers Dean.
I understand the issue of the problem and the simple solution is to heat the food to above 80 degrees prior to eating, the next time you wish to eat a few hours old sandwich the best method of suitabley heating it in your vehicle is to wrap the sandwich in a thermally conductive yet moisture retaining wrapper, alfoil is always good but if you dont have any, approach (carefully) someones 110 or series and hack a bit off of the door panel, beat this thin and then brush off whats left of the paint, polish this abit and then wash thoroughly before wrapping the food in your makeshift alfoil and placing it in the engine bay near the exhaust manifold.
now hook up a large load to the vehicle (a heavy trailer or whats left of the rover you hacked the door off of if you want to remove the evidence) and fit a blanking plate to the radiator to encourage the engine to warm up rapidly. Once youve driven for about 30 minutes at or above the speed limit with a 4t trailer on (or the evidence vehicle) and have totally cooked the motor your sandwich will be ready to eat. After youve done this you can then return here and make technical posts like
Toasted my sandwich (and the engine), how do I fix it and
How do you reskin a rover door?
Should you find that you are unable to get to a computer as you are stuck in the middle of nowhere simpley unhook the rover from the back of your sandwich toaster and then drive it home.
hope that helps.
