Reminders of my neighbour's story.. he was posted to an admin position in a private school in Alice. Down comes the news that there's a snake in a classroom. Said neighbour panics, starts ringing police, insurance cos. etc. When he got their, the girls had long since caught it. And cracked it.

I found it on the verandah last night when I went to feed precious, our cat.

Well thanks for that DeeJay ... I'm even more paranoid now. I have 4 cats one of them is as deaf as a post! I'd have a full blown coronary if I came home to see my poor cat strung from the rafters. Please tell me it didn't suffer:( (Or alternatively LIE THROUGH YOUR TEETH)

Precious did'nt suffer, he had terminal cancer and was on $30.00 worth of painkillers a day. He would'nt have felt a thing.

Id catch a Tainpan to prevent it getting to my 18month old nephew. Why didnt I move my nephew, the situation is hard to explain, but wasnt the best option.

If your still living in Sydney your verandah must stretch all the way to Nth QLD for you to have that Amythestine Python on it:eek:, unless its an escaped pet.Interestingly, being Australias largest python, up to 6m,they are the reason that Feral Cats and foxes are not much of a problem in the tropical northern rainforests.

if that pic was taken anywhere south of Townsville, that snake is an escapee from a private collection, so whats the full story Deejay???:eek:
