Thread: S1 disco lift

Lots of good options, dobinson, lovell, kings, LRA, OME and lots more i cant think of, just dont go for too hard springs and as for shocks Koni are king .

my konis are the only bit of my disco I trust

The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten

I have a 2 inch lift on my disco with EFS shocks and Dobinson springs.I use to have heavier poundage springs on before and changed to the Dobinsons and have found them very good.And at a good price.

I love my Ride pro lift, big shocks that stay cool and work well, the ride is soft enough to be comfortable but hard enough to still take the load.

if yours is a V8, you can fit diesel front springs for a 20mm lift (I have a spare set or two laying about if you want them) and replace the rubber insulator on top of the rear springs for some coil spacers like this:

I think std shocks will cope with this little lift. Cost you stuff all for a noticeable, but not extraordinary, amount of lift.

or to lift your rear springs, buy some nylon rod and longer bolts and place rod (spacers)
under rear spring bottom mounting plate...
i fitted 40mm spacers under mine...

Or buy lifted rear coils and fit your rears to the front
