Worst I experienced was heading out of Ballarat through Snake Valley, taking the back roads to Streatham then onto Hamilton. It was Valentines Day 1997, at approximately 2300hrs. Couldn't see the aerials at the end of the bonnet and became rather disoriented. Quite the experience.

F3 around Mt White in the winter mornings can get bad, likewise with Bulli Pass as previously mentioned. The worste I have ever seen was when we lived in the Riverina the trip from Harden-Demondrille-Young was like Pea soup with around 5 - 10 metres visability till around 1400hrs, foglights make no difference. The 25 minute trip took around 1.5hrs.

In winter the water pipes at work froze every night without fail, no cuppa's till lunchtime unless you filled up jugs of water before 1900hrs. It's the only place I have ever seen where a 40c day can turn into a -1c night. I'll never live there again.

    Beat me to it.

Don't seem to get fogs like that anymore though, even some of the fogs at the airport during the early 80s were good, but its been a while since they've had a bad one - no doubt some thing to do with the expansion of Sydney and now its a giant heat sink.
