Ran into grief this morning when I went to get an Express Post bag to send Ben.
I took a parcel of the suggested size 250x200x150 (mm) but the PO staff identified that the smallest Express Post bag, suitable for this size parcel, the 3kg Express Post bag, is not available at all post offices. It is mainly sold to corporate clients, and is not a standard retail item.
I will now go to a larger post office to try and get one.

Pillow case sounds like the size of the required bag, but they tell me now that it is not available retail, only to corporate clients. If you still have the bag, please let me know the product code etc and I'll try the 'manager' the next time!

Mine sent off a while ago but according to the receipt it is the "3kg express post satchel". Its pretty big, and they had a whole stack sitting on the shelf at just an ordinary local PO. They didn't say anything about corporate clients only, sounds like they were being slack.
3kg Parcel Post bag will do the trick and every post office has plenty in my experience.
Express post is overnight, or as close to as possible.
Parcel post is a little slower.
Cheers
Simon
There are always plenty of the large parcel post bags but the sheet said Express Post - I'm guessing for insurance or tracking purposes.
Thanks guys. As mentioned, I chose express post to make sure it gets there. Express post and registered parcel post cost about the same, only one is faster.
If it makes it any easier, the provent housing and element are 23x15x15cm and weigh <500g.
I also enough spare elements for most (to replace the one you have to send back to me). They are 16.5x9x9cm and weigh <100g.
So the housing and test element would fit in a much smaller bag. Happy to post in 2 smaller express post bags if that is OK.
The other reason I am doing it this way, is it is a hell of a lot easier than packing 50 boxes and writing addresses on them!
EDIT - IF express post is too $$$ for anyone (e.g. those in FNQ), then I will accept a parcel post bag. However express post takes 2 days from perth (except 6000 p-code) to anywhere on the east coast. Parcel post 5 working days.
EDIT - PS - THANKS for being so quick guys!
And to help further - the first 35 or so will get a spare element (worth around $20).
Will get the satchel tomorrow.
No point using express post for me as we are not counted in the express post zones.
The plastic 300Tdi breather cyclone separator fits directly to the right side of the rocker cover - see pics.
The 19mm inside diameter outlet hose is connected to the inlet of the turbo compressor. I didn't measure the drain hose (looks to be about 12mm), that connects to the crankcase below the lift pump and above the sump.
The connection to the rocker cover is shown in the 2nd pic.
To replace the existing cyclone on a 300Tdi with a Provent, would entail making a fitting to suit the rocker cover.
IMHO the testing that we are doing for Ben would be compromised if the Provent was installed after the existing cyclone separator. Ben might like to comment.
Mine left yesterday, you should have it Monday

Cheers Baz.
