Get Timken or similar....
Do you put cheap crap old fuel in your 4wd???
Do you go to Safeways and Aldi and put $5 for 5 litres of oil in your car?
Then dont put cheap bearings in it...
Thanks for the info everyone. I guess I should have put in my post where are the cheapest quailty bearings?, everything I own gets the best I can afford
I will pull the bearings off tonight and go the the local Timkin outlet and see what they cost.

Went through much the same exercise for Defender bearings last week and spoke to one supplier of bits and he said "All bearings from Timken or SKF are now all made in China".
And then quoted me $35 per bearing plus $12 each for seals!
I think I'll keep buying stuff with names I know rather than something which may turn out to be inferior.
Not saying all "Made in China" is crap but the world would be saved a lot of pollution if the ships carrying it abroad were never to leave dock!

I noticed the Timken bearings in the D2 hubs I have are marked USA. Maybe that's why they spat out grease past the seals! :DQuote:
