Sounds like you a fun and a big day then.
Its been on the cards for a while, ive wanted to get access to the back of my surburban house block with cars, 2 problems....
1. Fernery on the side of the house with shade cloth over it...
2. width of house to fence was not that impressive..... 2.3m
Anyhow today... i took some more measurments and looked at both the Disco i'm wrecking and the Stage 1, yep they will fit... and even with the mirrors still out...
What about the height of the fernery shade cloth.... 2.1m.... just enough for the disco and the stage 1 heaps with 32's on it....
County... forget it...
So about midday i got into it.... 1st job was to pull the fence down that goes from the house to the side fence... i wanted to make a removeable fence and still be able to have my dog happy that she can see the front yard. I had laying around a section of old 1.8 m high pool fence.... perfect... so i drove a length of pipe in the ground about 500mm and then made a peice to go over the one in the ground.. that way i can lift it on and off... i then used the pool fence on one side and the old gate on the other.... bingo... removable fence in about 1 minute...
Then came the garden in the back yard, front yard and removing the fernery.... fernery was easy... as the ferns are not deep root plants.. so a shovel and a few digs and they came out.... the fernery is about 2.3 wide and 8 m long, i should say.. WAS....
i had to remove a Camilia tree at the front of the fernery and cut the other one back a bit... then came removing the garden and rocks and shrubs and native grass and lizards... the cats were hanging around for an odd mouse or lizard feast... the dog was just doing what she knows best... chasing the cats and barking and getting in the road...
Then came the demolition of a brick retaining wall.... i knocked it down to about 300 high and that made it easy to drive the cars up and over it...
After all that was done, it was 4wd time... low range and taking my time.... the disco went through 1st... i missed the county by about 10mm as it is in the carport next to the fernery... then over the retaining wall.. and thru the garden and up to the back of the block.. easy..... i'm impressed with the driveline in it... bugger all slack...
Then came the Stage1... low range and slowly eased it thru.. it did it easier as its narrower... it showed the wear in the drivline in LR, but was easy.....
So now i have 2 LR in the back yard and none on the front lawn....
Best i bring the Rangie home so i can fill the front up again...
