Have no problem with the issue - just the rants by the poster on the same general point over a number of threads - is almost to the point of winding up the forum to see what the response will be - worked this time.
The record is well and truely cracked - can the moderator move this thread into the rants section where arguably it better sits.
This interested me when you said this because after I read the article I thought- Jeez, all these schools think they won't need textbooks or paper to write on because it will all be on computers. I think it will pose any advantages. It is one thing to learn how to use a computer well and another to be solely reliant.
That's a big thing. I suspect it will cause quite a social failure and I also think it will be extremely bad physically for the students hands and their eyes. Taking in to account we are talking laptops and not desktops.
I believe writing and reading from books is very important and no matter how much I use a computer I could never give up my text books or note pads.
And with 30 grand of infrastructure in each school and a lot of that electrical it sounds like we will meet our emission reduction after all.

I tend to agree,
what it has to do with me and my Land Rovers, I do not know, after all this is AULRO not a political based forum. We have all read threads started by the poster under with the same message, time after time after time. We all knew of his personal feelings and political views about 20 threads ago.
I for one do not care, for the matter. My kids are my problem, like I posted if they need a PC of their own I will purchase one for them, I don't want a handout, I don't need my nose rubbed in someone elses crap.
If you want to run the country get elected, if you want to talk about Land Rovers start a thread.
Just using this as an example as it has popped up a few times in here and on other threads, this whole...whats this got to do with LR or 4WDing. This is General, campfire chat, and yes people do talk anything from politics to god know what. Have a peruse of General right now.....how much is actually to do with LR's?Quote:

As Tombie very succinctly pointed out...don't like the channel, change it. Don't suggest it should be placed elsewhere, or doesnt have a place in this or that section, if you don't like the content...move on. Why is that so hard for people. If you enter into a topic, that is your CHOICE, just as it is a CHOICE to post up your own thread. And whats laughable is if someone has a penchant for a particular type of thread per se, which has been mentioned here, some of you still enter into. There are many people on here whose threads have a certain "flavour", I exercise my CHOICE not to enter into them....its called self control,

Possibly...but depends on what type of knobs you have sitting around the campfire...doesnt it? It depends on the intellectual capacity or lack thereof that you are dealing with as to who would be likely to throw a punch. A dimwitted yobbo might, someone with some smarts wouldn't. I have had some terrific and passionate debates before with friends and family on similiar type issues, its debating or expressing in an adult and mature way that makes the difference,Quote:
I bet out in the real world, punches would have been thrown long before this around a campfire :D
