Thread: Why do you enjoy 4wding?

that needs to be a more than one selection poll...


I mainly use it for its carrying ability and the ability to get the gear to where I need it to be so I can do what I do...

since i havent gone on a joy trip yet without doing what it is that I do (but thats half the fun for me) I guess its the most appropriate one.

the family enjoys coming with me and I like to be able to get to the places that the hippies in bongo vans cant get to so they cant annoy me.

can you add another

So I can negotiate the sections of roads that the "Making Queenslands' Roads Better" campaign missed, such as the Bruce Highway and most of the minor Roads.

I picked - gets me away from it all, but I identify with most of the other options too.

You missed one, Stable towing vehicle.
I went for getting away from it all :-)

I like driving over MX5's.

Like all 4WD owners, I enjoy using up our natural resources with incredibly poor fuel economy, damaging our bush and beach trails by driving like a hoon as much as possible, and running over small children in school zones.

Why isn't this a poll option???

Shame you can't vote for two options; I like to get away from it all....by going places only my 4wd will go....thus leaving the hoards behind.

I resolved that dilemma in the same way you did.
I voted for the first one because some of the places I like to go to in my 4WD are places where the great unwashed are unable to go.
So while a few of the others contain elements that are relevant, going to interesting, remote or secluded places is the main reason.
