G'day Uncle Ho, it's been going on for a long time. I think I've recounted before the story of a visit to a school open night at Ceduna back in 1970. When I commented on the work marked correct when it was patently full of spelling errors, I was told they didn't correct them as it would stifle the children's creativity.

I retorted to the teacher "So you can't spell either?" A reply was not forthcoming.
