There is a specially made glue for small plastic clips and fittings which does work 100%. I cant remember the name but I saw it at a car paint supply place in east burbs of VIC. The next time you pull out a plastic bit of the dash and crack a clip, there is a solution.

Thats a great idea but to late for me as i had my roof dropped out and cleaned and new lining glued on, was advised by apoulsterer that it is not a hard job to do yourself mine cost $260 remove repair and refit.
Looks as good as new now. This is common on a lot of cars as they had two commodores and a falcon in the yard while I was there and he stated all car brands do it.
The hardest part of the job is undoing all the seatbelts lights etc that hold the lining up and then fitting it back.
The backing on the material deteriates in this lets the cloth go.
