Hope the new job goes well.
Yea stress and frustration gets you in the end. I love my job and those who I directly work with but HATE the logic of the organisation. Frustration with them has realy taken it's toll over the last year.

I am just approaching a decision point myself. Left the Army in Dec 05 to come on to a contract over here in Afghanistan starting 16 Jan 06. I have won and extended two different contracts until March & Sept 2010 respectively...one being the maintenance of the airfield here at Tarin Kowt, and the other the provision of the world's biggest helicopter running loads in and out of Uruzgan Province to Kandahar.
Then, a month ago I was head-hunted for job. I am heading out on leave 27 May on the way back to Melbourne, stopping over in Dubai, where the Boss is going to meet me, flying in from the UK. They sell earthmoving tyres, and service the tyres, so that each tyre is rotated 4 x times before it it discarded. They want me to be their Operations Manager in Africa.
The money will be a bit less but, I am hoping the lifestyle can be better.
With the Afghanistan job I have become a victim of my own success, and the company is offering me a 25% pay rise...really stupid money and it is all tax free.
One decision was easy earlier in the month..another company asked me to go do a job as a Manager to a Demining Project in the Sudan...I laughed at the money.
At least I am going out on leave, and I will be able to make a decsion in good time, considering all the facts...if it is the African job...I give the Afghanistan job two weeks notice and ...thanks for the experience.........decisions, decisions, decisions.
Well I quit 2 weeks ago and started at the new place yesterday and there are pluses and minuses for it (closer to home, but involves commission work).
Slightly different work for me and I'm out of my comfort zone (read: not sure I've done the right thing...).
Time will tell I guess!
