Any bass players here ?

Well i have narrowed it down to 3 or 4 basses ;) . Yamaha , Ibanez , Cort and Aria . Just have to find out if i can get the models i want in the left hand version .
And from what i have seen so far leftie guitars are more expensive :mad:. unfair i say ;).

Dont like the Washburn's........:(

Seems your a south paw, you could always just string a right hander upside down, just make sure you get one that the controls wont get in the way when your playing it and you could buy what ever is cheap then.

Make sure you also change the internation of the bridge if you do do that as it will be all wrong if you dont but there wouldnt be much else to do and the right guitar looks like your clever and playing it upside down.......the Jimmy Hendrix look.....:D

I play Bass too. I have a Music man stingray and an Aria Pro cat 2..

The Aria was a cheapish one ($400 in 1987) which I learnt on and played for a lot of years.. I now play the Music man, which is a very nice Bass to play..

As with all instruments, don't go too cheap as they are usually harder to play and learn on...

If your in Melb anytime, there is a great Bass shop at 206 park street Melb.. called the 'Bass Centre' thats where i bought the Music man.

Also, from my experience the rosewood (dark) fretboard basses have a warmer sound and the maple ones have a brighter sound..(I have one of each) Prolly does not matter whilst learning but something to keep in mind..

Just ask Lemmy. Or Geddy Lee. Or JJ Burnell etc etc.

Howdy Mcrover , It's not that i don't like the washburn ... in fact i really like the sunburst on the washburn gear but i can't get what i want in this brand . And i thought about getting one and flipping it upside down but it just don't look right ( fussy bugger ;) ) .

Your playing it, be as fussy as you want :p
