He's being carved right now out of Uluru itself. They'll polish him to a fine finish, insert a Optima battery. Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett will give him the kiss of life and his helmet will be placed on his head by the ghost of Peter Brock.

A must see is the new top gear that starts next week, the trip they do through Africa is just brilliant.
I've never really thought of it as a car show.
I just see it as entertainment.
So does my wife whose knowledge about cars and interest in things mechanical stops just short of knowing what the technical term is for those round black things at each corner of the Defender. Yet she loves the show.
For us, i'ts all about the interplay between the presenters.

I suppose if the cars on the show were actually available or common in Australia, I might see it differently.

I love the Brit show and if the Oz one is entertaining, I will watch it regardless of how one-eyed the presenters are.

Unless they start criticizing Defenders of course.

It will never be like the UK version... I'll predict a failure. Nobody can match Clarkson et al.

(Best Aussie motor program is ARC. Isn't Atkinson doing well win WRC...)

TOP Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has admitted driving at 300km/h on a public road.
Clarkson, who has never been booked for speeding, confessed to driving the world's fastest legal road car, a Bugatti Veyron, 200km/h over the legal limit on the Limehouse Link route near London.
Clarkson made the comments at a literary festival in Wales on Tuesday.
"The speed limit is annoying because it holds up people who have got a job to do," said the married father-of-three.
The BBC is facing calls to sack the 48-year-old host of its top-rating program, which screens in Australia on SBS.
The chief executive of road safety charity Brake's, Mary Williams, said Clarkson was extremely offensive and irresponsible.
"His comments are very upsetting to loved ones who have suffered a bereavement through a road crash because of a speeding driver," she said.
"He is the most appalling role model for our next generation of drivers. The BBC should sack him he is totally out of control."
But Clarkson, who has already taught his two eldest children, 13 and 12, to drive, denied he influenced people.
"When I said that the Ford Orion was the worst car ever in the world, it went on to become Britain's best-selling car! It makes no difference what I say.
    "Top Gear is just fluff."

Heard one of the guys on 702 abc Sydney radio today doing the whole plug thing and it sounded to me like they are going to sell it by saying they can do so many other things here that they aren't allowed to in the U.K. so the show is going to be broader and more diverse etc... What cods wallop that is. I highly doubt that the U.K. show has less opportunity then the ones here.
