    You won't need a winch in Kakadu, if you do you've gone where you shouldn't go or its the middle of the wet season.

    we are going in oct......and we are not going straight to kakadu

    yes i know........thats what happens when its hard for people to take time off work

    i have to book 7/8 months in advance....where as ian can book, but his boss is a ******, so it is really really hard from him to get holiday approved......and he never knows whether he has got it until the month before.

    as far as he is aware he has got it!.....but that could also change as his boss is renouned for approving say 4 weeks holiday, then approach and say sorry you can only have 2 of those 4 now....its really difficult sometimes
