I would like those doors for my deefer....
G'day Folks :)
Boundry Rd and Beaudesert Rd, that would be East Coast Autos or Cousins, from memory (same mob different names, I think, deal with ex govt vehicles) it could have a LT85 5 speed in it if it is 86/7 model, and that could be a 4BB1 retrofit.
BTW there is a white 90 at British Off Road TD5 about $38K I think.
cheers
Definitely not a Defender nor a County (County is the trim level on all 110 wagons sold in Australia). Eyeballing the wheelbase, I think it is probably a 120. The engine bay is virtually identical to my 86 County (for example the heater and the cartridge fuel filter - changed to screw on filter about then) so I would say the engine is definitely a 4BD1, but the levers do not look like the LT95 - changed to LT85/LT230 about 86.
The wheels are definitely non standard Sunraysia type, with wider than standard tyres. Doors are normal for that date - I suspect the galv trim was only fitted to the County. Steering wheel is also non-standard - probably a matter of opinion whether it is an improvement or not. Steps are, of course, non standard.
In Summary, I would say it is a late 1986 120, with significant after market modifications, kilometres agree with that date. Depending on condition, and what price it goes for, it could be a good buy for someone.

Would be a good replacement for my HJ47 that was a runaway:eek: Toyota hand brake:mad: That one is to far away for me:( One of the best work horses Land Rover made.
Now if someone can get out their magnifying glass, and it's anything like my 120" was, there should be a key lock for the bonnet/hood. The barrel is above the grille, just to the left of the Land Rover badge.
Cheers
Simon
I quized the owner who confirmed the mistake. It's a 1986 model, not a 1992 model.
I bought the Sankey:)...and I am still alive.
I bought the my third Series IIA 109 GS:).......and I am still alive
..........naw I think I am pushing my luck, besides the emergency fund is getting pretty low
I've sent the seller a question about the rust but from what i can see in the bulkhead it would require a bit of welding. I also assume the door frames would have issues if the hinges look like that.
