    Some People Shots

There are some aspects of Islam and Pashtun culture I cannot support but, as a whole, they are some of the most hospitable people I have yet to meet ...hospitality is one of the most enduring aspects of Pashtunwali... Pashto culture ...to be hospitable is a social obligation. Sitting down and eating with them in their houses is a real privilege.

The following photo is an assembly of tribal elders, a Shora, their method of governance:

The next set are of some of contractors laying a slab...in their own local way:

This bloke we call Cha Cha, he now works for me....have a guess on how old he is?

At a guess about 30 years old.

These guys do it hard, there is more left in the barrow than what they empty.

Thank you for these pic's, good to see a different side to all this trouble and strife. Like the toys you get to play with, good luck.

Just let me know if you ever get the need of an Ex army Armoured vehicle driver with experience in line haul, Terminal operations, spanner swinging, medicing and comms works who is getting a bit bored with the lack of broken landrovers that need fixing over here in RAAFy land.

hell If it'll help I'll make sure the bloke brings over a C17 if its needed since youve got a strip that he can get one landed at.

I'll be putting this thread aside for a while soon. How many people would be interested in reading and seeing the photos of my previous sojourns in Mozambique and East Timor?

There is another question...how many ex-servies have photos to share from being off-shore?
