Ended up giving to a mate of mine...farmer....and he got it checked out for me...chain was on wrong way or something....anyway it worked now. Only started using it again..........thought I just put petrol in it as the cap says unleaded. Didnt even think about it being a 2 stroke......as I do mix the fuel/oil for my whipper snipper. Does that mean the chainsaw is toast or can I do something to fix it? Are they all 2 stroke...could there be some possibility that it can just take unleaded? Thanks

    Regards

Thanks mate, though wont be telling SWMBO...she already thinks Im handymanless. I am a keen learner though, never had mechancial apptitude, but so far have put chain back on chainsaw......got belt back on ride on underneath...what a proick of a job that was.....and built an enclosure with star pickets and dog fencing. Will try
    Oooops !

Drain what's left in the tank, mix up some correct fuel, pull the plug, fill it up and with the plug out pull it over with the starter cord quite a few times.
Put the plug back in and see if it starts.
It may work, but the innards won't be too flash
and see what the outcome is. At least I havent put petrol in the diesel.........yet ,

    Regards

But if you'd put diesel in the chainsaw it would still be OK!

Oh oh, stop and picture that sentence and put a big red slash through it, it won't happen, ok.

    Stevo,
will it still pull over or has it completely seized?
Dont bother going 2 a mower shop , they as someone else said will only laugh & point u towards the new saws.
As a commercial operater of 2 stroke machinery its so frustrating 2 be told, "U know as a commercial operator they have a limited life span" after only 3 months.
If its completely seized u could try removing the plug &spraying a little lubricant down the bore , the take the starter off & try & turn the crank over with a spanner. Good luck!.
    Cheers Dean.
