Thanks John.
I was under the impression that the new 130 had steel split rims, dont
know wher I got that idea from, Oh well, I dont think it will be a problem getting wheels made up.

i was surrounded by the things today....
all on camouflaged 4x4's which spoilt the party a bit :D
its terrible isnt it...
and I have to drive them at least once every day....
oh the humanity....
and some people wonder why I like going to work in the morning.
Robert,,
in a past life I had some wheels made up on the gold coast by MR WHEELS, he was a sprint car guy,, not sure if he's still around,, but anythings better than freighting up from VIC,,;)
Eastern Wheel Works modified split rims for me. I have dealt with Steve several times in the past and always had good service.
I had no problems with the 14 ply all steel radials on the highway. I have not had much experience in the wet with them though - had a little rain and so far so good. I did find them skitish at high speed (90-100km/h) on gravel roads between Birdsville and Windorah.
On recent trip across Simpson I was only passed by one car going over to there - when I was too slow tightening the rubber band (AKA 300Tdi) leaving the outskirts of Broken Hill. Coming back I was only passed by one car - about 65 km before Bourke, but a few km later he was booked for speeding.
John, I got my info from my local Goodyear Bloke, good man, he supplies some rubber out to the mines.
Looking at tables, the 750x16, is about 10 % larger than the BFG's that
I run as standard, so I would probably only need 700x16 ? They wouldn't
change the footprint much nor the gearing.
How much did Eastern Wheel Works charge to make up your wheels,
they are in the same city as Rovercare, eh ! Can you give me their phone
number.
Thanks.
Nah, but I could frieght them there ;)
