Sawmills are evil places, Regular injuries, lots of people missing bits and the odd killing, nasty machines that bite hard and stupidity is a prerequisite for employment as an operator, good combination:(
I won't miss the place now I'm gone:D

I forgot to say - a huge thankyou to Offender90 for driving me to hospital - and taking the pics.
Dr Ben, great job, hope it all still works, thats a very important finger when you drive a Landy :p
I don't have pics to prove it, but my best effort was to drill a hole in my hand.
Like so many accidents, it was the result mainly of stupidity, but also of a combination of a number of other factors.
The odd thing is that it didn't worry me looking at the hole in my hand, but what did make me feel faint was looking at the spirals of flesh curling out of the flutes in the drill bit.:)
- I had just bought a new drill because just as I was close to finishing my house, the old one burned out.
- I was dilling a hole in a small piece of wood sitting on the bench.
- When it was almost through I stopped to put it somewhere safer, like a vice, so it wouldn't grab and spin.
- Because the new drill was heavier than the old one, I had one hand on the grip and the other supporting the piece of wood still on the drill bit.
- Because I was not familiar with the weight and feel of the new drill, as I lifted it, I pressed the trigger.
- The drill bit went through the wood and almost through the palm of my hand.

I like that Matt. Depth cranked to the max (as one does). You could have got a bit more depth out of the blades, but the motor might not have liked it, being Fryobi.
What were you 'dressing'?
