Well actually, depends if you want power or clean air!
Dirty filter = less airflow but CLEANER air = less power but richer running = better lube?

true but the filter is designed to do the job, just dont run a K$N.....
and if your chain is kept sharp it will produce chips more than dust, so your air will be clean....
a good sharp chain can make more differences than some engine mods!
i want power and clean air..... and if tuned properly i will have enough lube aswell.

I bought it 2nd hand almost 2 years ago. NFI how old the plug is.
True, however I think that the lifespan of most small 2-strokes probably isn't limited by the quality of air filtration. Sure if you run no filter you will kill it, but apart from that... So with that in mind, a clean filter would be best - I agree.
