Did anyone read the feature a while back in LROI magazine on the Land Rover two and a quarter engine powered grey Fergy? It was an interesting read.
We grew up surrounded by Fergys of all models here as the district was a WW1 and WW2 irrigation Soldier Settlement and back in the day the Commonwealth War Loans Dept. were pretty strict about what type/make of tractors/machinery they would approve loans for!!!
We currently own a 135 Diesel and a 135 Petrol.

I love those old Fergies.
If I had one I would put an AULRO sticker onit and wave to dogs, paddocks, tree's, gates, Souther Cross and Comet windmills and of course FJ Holdens and Landrovers.

As for conversions, have seen Rover V8 3.5, Small block Chev V8. Ford side valve V8 in the Ford Ferguson. As well as a Jaguar V12. Search the internet and you will find these.
Would think that the TE-20 & Ford 9N would have different gearboxes. But then it is only an adaptor plate.

These are all TEA models, 12v start and all the same spec. There was a ferguson rotary hoe to go with them.
Two are still used, the last one is up for sale if anyone in the NZ south island needs it.
Along with 2x 35's, 3x 135's, 1x 148 and a smattering of other italian and japanese tractors to keep them company.
Saw my first TEF last week. This is the Std Motor Co diesel version.
Sitting in a shed neglected. Owner was shocked to think it'd be worth anything more than scrap.
Don't try and use aerostart or similar to fire it up as the head studs will snap.Quote:
