If you have an eye injury, there are only two (maybe three) public hospitals to go to: (1) Sydney Eye Hospital in Macquarie St (2) Westmead and, maybe (3) Liverpool.

I went to Westmead late one evening 4 years ago - after attending Nepean, being delayed and eventually told, get thee straight to Westmead - where I was seen very quickly, admitted, and was operated on at 8am.

In May, I went to Sydney Eye Hospital and was seen and admitted quickly. I was not operated on that evening as another bloke had been hit across the eye with a snapped winch cable which broke his eye socket. He was seen to first.

Hmm, here's a Philosophical Question to ponder. If you went to the Sydney Eye Hospital and they COULDN'T see you, would you even want to be treated there?

    Glad your ok...

But why would you operate one without eye protection? Or at least Sunnies...

This town is so safety focused that you often see people mowing lawns in their PPE the safety message is strong in Whyalla...

    Seriously!

Ah, that'd be the one that doesn't go very fast, but is great at stirring stuff up.
