    Perhaps a silly question

    Hi All,
This may be a silly question, but here goes...

When I come over to Oz in Novemeber I want to buy a few bits & pieces, ranging from ARB strops to (perhaps) ARB Dif lockers.

Ive done a quick search on Google and found these peopl in Darwin (thats where I fly in to) ARB Vehicle Accessories Darwin NT Australia. Are these the best people for ARB in Darwin?

Other places my trip will take me... Darwin - Alice Springs (possibly then onto Sydney to see another friend who is moving over there at the end of this month).

With that in mind, is it better / cheaper to buy stuff in Sydney, Darwin or somewhere else - or doesnt it make any difference?

    Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Jon
    Regards,
    Jon

Only had a couple of dealings with them - latest was a Milford Cargo barrier into the D2. That was ordered Monday one week and fitted Thursday following week after ordering from Melbourne.

My experience has been OK with them and they are the only ARB dealer in Darwin.

As with all things - anything will be cheaper in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane/Adelaide than in the NT.

Enjoy the humidity and heat when you arrive

Why not google all ARB dealers and email them for a price on the bits you need then you can work out which is the better to deal with

I would have thought that buying something as heavy as a couple of diff lockers it would be prudent to buy them at your last destination, Sydney, there are a few ARB dealers in Sydney so you might get a better deal. I am assuming you are you are not bringing your Landy with you and are flying, Regards Frank.

    Hi Frank,

Im flying into darwin to meet up with a friend (Leeds on this forum) who shipped his 110 over back in April. He's doing the round Oz trip - Im only doing a month of it!

The idea was to put some gear in the 110 and ship it back with the car.

Im not entirely sure I'll be ending up in Sydney (at least not with the 110 as well) and so was looking at options earlier on in the trip.

Curret Aus prices for ARB lockers (AU$1219) seem very comparable to UK prices though, so not going to save much

    Regards,
    Jon
