so I guess this isnt the thread to point out that I've just out driven a tdv8 toyota from about goodna to the switch.... It was bellowing more smoke than big red when Im giving her the boots...
I was Driving fozzy...
I guess the only reason why I can get past them in big red is cause they are all in reverse and that I can do all of that in big red while getting better fuel economy.......
as for the isuzu being more reliable than the td5, guess what happens if the mech advance unit on the FIP drops its guts,,, or what happens if the lift pump gives up... actually lets pretend that that happens so that it blows all the diesel past the internal seal into the sump oil and you dont spot it till one morning when you start it to warm it up it runs away and does an inversion on you.....
if the fuel pump dies in a td5 it just stops and the td5 doesn have a mechanical advance coupling to fail...
