Some nice photos there (ie AULRO facebook pages).

Must say the jury is out as to this social networking phenomenon. Have seen some pretty personal stuff discussed and photos posted by some friends and family... a bit scary for my liking.

Isnt it only for pimply faced 15 yo , i will never ever sign up or use it and dont want my kids to use it if its still around by then (hopefully not).

You'd by flabbergasted who's on 'it'. I found people I knew 25 years ago on it - scary to see how fat they had become. The youngest I'd know would be in their early teens and the oldest .... very..

Scary thing is some people just don't seem to realize how to use the privacy settings or maybe they just want the 'network' to know all their private life. Frankly I think it's a crumby piece of software and I'm not sure how to drive it fully myself. I keep it going so as to keep in contact with my kids movements - either through their musings or their friends. As I write this I realize how much I don't like the concept and have repeatedly thought about getting rid of my account.

How old are the kids? Once they're teenagers there's no stopping them. As I heard on the radio the other week - email is old hat - now it's sms (my fingers won't find the keys quickly enough..) and myspace/facebook etc.

As far as privacy goes you just need to adjust your settings in the privacy page (accessed from the top right of the screen). There's too many people with their account open for the world to see.

A whole bunch of us put up a facebook profile around the same time. From it as others have mentioned I have caught up with mates from old work places I have worked, school etc. I have privacy settings on mine so people have to ask to be added...by the way your now added Justin/ Treads :D,
