You are quite right about the kids. It seems like fun at the time but can have disastrous results.

A yobbo relative of mine crippled his own 9 year old son doing exactly that. The boy lost the use of his right arm permanently. Now his arm just hangs uselessly down his side like an empty cardigan sleeve.

    Don't do it!

    To post such a video on a 4 x 4 site only gives the anti 4 x 4 movement ammunition about irresponsible 4 x 4 drivers!

thanks for the heads ups......no point in me arguing the point as i guess i would be out numbered

trust me to play with uploading vids

while its no justification i did stop and think about allowing the kids to ride on the front and made the situation as safe to the point that i was happy

    - no mention about the guy on the bulldozer with no hearing protection
    - me standing between a running bulldozer and a post
    - playing with spider with an axe standing right next to a fire
    - one of the boys again standing four or so meters away from an operating chainsaw
    - lucky you didn't see the kids climbing trees 'they could have fallen and broke there neck', the kids going by themselfs down to the creek with yabbie pots 'never know they might tripped knock their head and drowned', we had seen one snake that morning but we didn't stop the kids from walking through long grass exploring

thanks for your concern and i do understand, unfortunitly i cannot edit the post, if i have given 4wding a bad name than please request the mods the edit my post

if we all were wrapped up in cotton wool all our lives we probably would be greenies or something.
the kids in this were being treated to a ride by their father, not some yobbo drunk driving like a maniac.
i know the father and respect his care and support for the children, in no way would he not be careful with the kids on the bonnet.

I did notice Josh on the bar but I though 1st low you'd notice pretty quickly. However when I see the extensive list of OH&S issues that have surfaced in your videos I really must say it's my considered opinion that you are likely to being described by a certain F word very soon and it's not going to be pretty!!!!!

I'd never do anything dangerous... ever

I do not believe that kids should be wrapped in cotton wool. Yes they should be allow to explore and have fun, get dirty and have adventures, BUT young kids should not be exposed to needless risk.

When things go wrong they go wrong very fast and the results can be tragic not only for the kids but for the adults as well.

Clearly if you're going to let kids onto the bullbar for a ride you really should pop them in a condom first. Best be safe !
