I share both the above sentiments. My Family has always owned and shown Dobes. They are an absolutely wonderful breed.
Can you please let me know when he is ready to go to a new home?
Cheers

sorry treads i never read this, but even so I had already had interest before you kindly posted your interest......
I just thought i would post up that Khan was very lucky to go to a home with Bush65 (hope you dont mind me saying this john) and i'm sure they are going to be the best of mates:)
still if there is anyone out there that would love to give a special home to someone please always fell free to contact me! i'm not trying to go around selling off dogs but the dogs that myself and my friends bring home to foster are generally fostered for a reason (behavoural, medical etc)......so we like to try and do our best to have a home secured for them before they have to sit around in adoptions waiting for the right person to come along:)

dobbo this ones for you;):D
this actually khans kennel mate. She is a beautiful dog good with cats and kids as well as far as I'm aware just very scared of cars. I was supposed to fostering tsarabi before I took khan but she needed a quieter home then what I could provide
My best mate had a doberman, brilliant dog although they don't really think of themselves as a dog and more of another member of the family.
They need alot of exercise and alot of attention, very smart dog, sometimes too smart when there is food around.
Like others have said the aggresive ones are usually the ones who have been trained that way. Or have had a hard life.
Sadly my friends doberman died of a heart attack when he was 4 years old, he looked mean but he was soft as poo, great around kids. All they care about is making sure that you are protected.
He died six months ago but I still miss him, I currently have a german shephard and I would like to get a doberman as well. Would recommend them to anyone.
I used to walk a Dobie or he used to walk me, when i was 12 or 13. He was a great mate. He saved me from a guy who tried to grab hold of me in the park one day. Even still, i was knocked unconscious. There was witness in the distance who saw what took place later stated for the police that the dog went berserk on the guy until he was subdued by the witness and her husband and the police got there. The rock spider had a new bum torn for his troubles and some time in jail, then had to deal with my father and uncle when he got out. If it wasn't for Ben the Dobie, i would hat to think about what might of happened.
I would have Dobie anyday, just need the yard space is all.
You have to be careful about the background when buying a dobermann. The ones with an American bloodline are notorious for dying young. Make sure you get a European bloodline. Our old girl is 12 and doing OK even though she's got arthritis from living in such a cold area.
We have just got our puppy and he is beyond cute. Shame they have to grow up. The older Doberman is not very keen on having the new one around, and she's gone him a few times, but he is getting the idea and keeping his distance now.
He did and then some. I often thought the same thing. THE IDIOT.
