Diana, the number of spaces has been the subject of discussion elsewhere.

I still subscribe to two spaces after a full stop but this forum software removes extraneous spaces (as does other forum software).

P.S. I don't care for some of these modern styles! I'll continue to use Oxford English and not Macquarie, with two spaces after the stop even if the software edits it out later. If that makes me anachronistic, it's O.K. They fit me up for the Zimmer frame next week.
