    Shipping parts to Canada

    G'day all

As some of you are aware, I have been on a search for parts to install my 4bd1T Isuzu into my 130 ambulance / camper. I have had loads of help with tips and info regarding the engine swap from many of you on here. ( Big thank you to everyone who gave their 2 cents worth With everyone's help I have managed to find just about all the parts I need to do the job. Now... I need to get them over here to Canada can anyone tell me the names and contact info of some shipping companies over in Australia. The bloke who has a good many of the parts I need wants me to sort the shipping from my end. I need to find a Carrier who is able to pick up a package with a bellhousing and a few other gear box parts, front coil springs etc... so it may have some weight. Any tips or contact info would be great.

    Regards
    Justin

From the parts i guess you will want to send it seafreight as it will be cheaper, for an accurate quote you will need weight and cubic measurements of the goods and if they will be palletized or not, i work in freight forwarding/customs and we have a large export dept so i can get a quote for you if you like.

    regards,
    Nick.

    Hi Nick

Thanks for the offer I'm glad to have your help. I'll send you a PM when I have the details you've requested. I should ask you if it would be ok if the parts were put in one of those rubber maid plastic type storage bins with the lid wraped with duct tape. I don't think the parts need a pallet. A pallet would probably weigh more than the parts.

    Regards,
    Justin

Thanks for the tip, wasn't aware of the courier section, When I spoke to the seller yesterday I forgot to get his location . I'm supposed to ring him on Monday so will get it then. I think he's in Melbourne.

Tub would be fine and as it turns out we import/customs clear for Rubbermaid, if hes in Melbourne then that would work out good, once you find out the weight i can get a quote of airfreight costs as well since we have our own airfreight bond store in the same building.

    Hey Nick

I haven't spoken to him yet, but a friend on here tells me he's in Bayswater an eastern suburb of Melbourne.

I'll let let you know how I'm getting on after I chat with him again.

    Cheers

    PACK SEND ANY GOOD?

    G'day all

I've been given a tip to try pack send and they have a shop 6 km from my seller has anyone used their service? Its looks good having them do the pick up and packing would make things easyer for the bloke I'm buying the parts from. That spray foam system looks like it would do the trick. Here's their link Logistics Solutions, Courier Services, Freight, Franchise Opportunities, Shipping, Packaging, eBay Shipping, Excess Baggage, Australia

Has anyone on here used them for overseas shipping.

    Regards
    Justin
