That's what I thought. Trying to work out if that's antenna cable coiled on the bonnet?

New model British Defenders? Apparently from the 3 Commando Brigade (Royal Marines) on Salisbury Plains, Wiltshire, southern England, ahead of their August deployment to Afghanistan, on July 30, 2008.

Note the wheels and stud pattern. Also looks like a motorised gpmg mount?

Also these new up-armoured models heading for Iraq, apparently for The Black Watch, 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland (3 SCOTS):

It's about time they gave these guys some protection

Whaddya mean, with the tyre up front, the radiator has plenty of protection from the airflow. Particularly good for use in desert locations like Iraq and Afghanistan.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Indonesia makes a couple of vehicles based on Land Rovers. Mainly the Rantis Paksi APR-2:
