    Subaru Outback sump

    The Outback has developed a sump leak.

    Has anyone ever heard of a Subaru with a sump leak.

    Mechanic was stumped, cleaned, looked, no gutter hopping or anything like that, just developed a leak.

    I've lost the love so probably will pass the leak on to the next owner.

    I know I'm a dog magnet, but I've never heard of Subarus that have problems like mine do.

    My family had subaru's for a while (and i'm still addicted to be honest) and never had any problems with any bar one. a 91 liberty with airbag suspension. Blew 2 of the bags. $1000 each replacement. The car was traded in on an outback before either of the other 2 went. a problem after 100,000 km's apparently.

    I also know red cross down here had a batch with bad ecu's, but to be honest, subaru's are generally bulletproof!

    Maybe some of hte sump gasket has given way?

    Probably parked next to the Landy for to long and got Jealous.

    I've known a few Subies and none to of had a sump leak either.

    its not realted to the new fender is it
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
