    Bizar truck Hijacking

    Yesterday,
we had a bizarre truck hijacking. A Wormalds Fire Service truck left site, pulled up about 2kms down the road for a pee, left truck running as we all have done. The driver noticed a hilux slow, but not stop. Next thing his truck was being driven off down a farm road. He basically followed it for 25kms on foot before we got contacted. We picked him up from one and only farmer that stopped to assist him. From what we could track truck had been driven into a nature reserve.
Very odd and a very embarressed driver.

Hmm someone's unfulfilled boyhood dreams perhaps?

Still they'll pinch anything that's not tied down, at least that's how it is around here (even the manhole covers are being stolen).

No not a typo. Pretty fit young fella, not your big truck driver, but a service tech.
I picked him up about 8kms down the road and then went to where he last saw the truck parked and that was app 25kms. Needles to say he was knackered.
Apparently the truck kept stopping and he could either see it or see the dust trail so kept going. Probablly could not drive a truck properly. Should have called us or the police immediatelly. Though when the police were called they never called him on his mobile or came out to see if he was ok. So we went out.
I think the truck may be on its way to NZ

Yeah, but this was in the middle of no where, 150kms from the nearest major town, 40kms form a minor town. Odd, but not much suprises me anymore, guy had a bad rollover this morning and still came straight to work. Did not go the hospital. 25kms to hospital another 125kms to work. The person who also works on site also got a serve for not taking him back to a doctor to be assessed. He is ok but a bit sore.
