I wonder if it just filled up with beer searches.
I was sitting back having a quiet couple of beers with the father-in-law ( bluebandit ) and we got to talking about which was the first beer to be sold at a commercial level ? anyone have an idea ?
EDIT : The first australian beer to go commercial in australia

Beer answer: Yes please!

The Hero of Waterloo
The Lord Nelson
The Bald Faced Stag
Are all quite old, but not quite as old as Cascade. The Bald Faced Stag, in Leichhardt, became Tooheys.
And Malt Shovel Brewery would like us to think that James Squire was the original, and since he died in 1822 he might have got there before Cascade.
What was the question again?

it was defiantly James squire and I'm sticking to it
it's the only decent beer for me

James Squire was australias first official brewer, he brewed originally for the officers(as usual they look after themselves first....they still do) of her majesties troops in Sydney.
