And then there are Tinker cars, Jeeps, Landrover, just about anything with the indicator stalk on the left or is made in europe or america.

I think the tinker cars are better value as you dont just get transport but you also get a lesson in mechanics and in some cases survival in the middle of no where.

Your bosses shouldnt be afraid of Creeps, they just need to understand them and sell them accordingly to people who will appreciate them.

    Tinker proof?

When did you last have a look under the Bonnet of a Jeep? (No offence)

I had a look at mine last week when I took it in for its 12 month service.

As an ex mechanic, the last thing I would do would be tinker with it!

Managed to find the dipstick, it was painted yellow.
Rest was a complete mystery to me.

Warranty work... adjust the hand brake please. That was it.
Needed no oil in 12 months.

This thing goes like a cut snake, has more electronic aids than the space shuttle and is a pleasure to drive.(Hit a large body of water on the Bruce Hi-Way in January, no pulling to one side, the electronics took over, kept the car straight slowed it down and proceeded on it's merry way)

Try and tell me that is hard to sell.

Soon as the lease is up I will purchase it for the better half to drive.
It is a safe, reliable car.

(Might be able to afford a D3 for myself in a few years if I work hard enough)

Perhaps it's the Daimiler part of Chrystler that has changed things.

Soon as I returned home from the big smoke after the service I got a phone call from head office enquiring if the dealer service attitude and reception were satisfactory.

    Tinker... I wouldn't be game.
    (Or know where to start!)

I thought when things got repaired under warranty, the dealership is reinbursed by the manufactor....there for not really costing the dealership anything other the inconvieniance of covering the cost until such time that they get paid back?
