Talking to truckies

I just listened to 2 kiwi truckies conducting a loverly conversation earlier tonite,ranged from missing out on an orgy in Kojonup,a kiwi mate who got his mate to send his pigs to market a day later so he could rest and the pigs were happier.
Just was itching to grab the mike and tell them beastiality is actually illegal in australia:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
CH 40 is very good for the heads up on Police working the road,accidents,roadworks etc.BUT the dribble truckies travelling in convoy spew is unbelievable.F this F THAT and F every other C of a thing.Its not real good family listening!!!

True. I find around where I live that its generally ok in town and pretty good out of town. Its when I get into reception of Sydney that I turn the thing off.

I am not usually on this time of night (TSVL), but undestand that the language in some areas may be undesirable. I recently traveled from Townsville to Port Maquarie. The only problems with radio was near Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Apart from a couple of kids in the Sunshine Coast area. This is a long distance with remarkable good outcome. I usually travel inland and (when I say the cape i mean the southern end as the rest seems to be a race track) The Cape.

Normally people are good.

I have to agree with those that say around the cities is worse...by far. On the highway it is generally pretty good.

I have always found calling by the type/comany etc and preferably include the direction of travel if there are other trucks around gets a response and if you are travelling at night some of the drivers appreciate a chat to brake the trip a bit.
