    New 4WD Program to Channel 10

    G'day all, found this when over at 4WD Action......Pat actually jumped on the thread to have a chat about it and one of the magazine blokes closed off the thread.....interesting. More importantly sounds pretty good and about time:

    PAT CALLINAN'S 4X4 ADVENTURES

    In less than three weeks time, Australia's very first national 4X4 television series will be launched on Network TEN. Pat Callinan's 4X4 Adventures will be eagerly anticipated by the touring public, who are keen to experience the freedom and places that only a 4X4 can offer.

    Former 4WD magazine editor Pat Callinan will take viewers to places that only a 4X4 can access, meeting great people, seeing amazing sights and showing plenty of handy tips and hints along the way. Cape York, the Kimberley, the Victorian High Country - all of the places that most Aussies would love to see (minus the crowds!).

    Pat is a firm believer that most people with 4WDs in the driveway yearn to one day drive down a red dirt road: "Most people are just a little concerned about the distances and the safety of outback four-wheel driving. Once they learn a few tips from the show, there'll be no stopping them! And there's no better country in the world to experience four-wheel driving."

    The brand new half-hour show starring former 4WD magazine editor Pat Callinan will air from October 11, at 12.30pm. Pat said that the 13 episodes: "will have something for everyone. There are plenty of tips for beginners, but we’ve also packed in lots of special destinations that experienced tourers will love too. Plus, we’ll be road-testing some of the best new gadgets and accessories money can buy."

    If it's anything like the 4WD Action DVDs it will be one big advertorial for their "sponsors".

    So you should slap your head..........it has nothing to do with 4WD Action , its an actual TV program,

    Well I won't be watching it. Imparja stopped relaying anything from Channel 10 last January so I won't know what I'm missing. Guess I'll just have to go sit on a lonely beach somewhere and wonder what all this 4WD nonsense is about

    but you never know , could be good, I'll give it a look

    I think worth a look...a 4WD show on mainstream tv's a good start. Plus I liked Pat from the earlier full length DVDs that 4WD Monthly ( ie before name change) used to do.

    Im assuming you mean thread not what section the TV is in . First thread was in 4WD Discussion and then locked off for reasons not given. Then another thread popped up in campfire...also locked off. Sounds like politics to me. Anyhoo, seeing I cannot get that other 4WD show on my TV, would be good to get something on "normal" TV,

    Then get the DVD.......apparently will come out on DVD as well. All major type trips are done ie Cape, Kimberleys, Simpson etc. Should note I am not sponsored or anything , just think having our hobby/ passion being shown on TV is a good thing. Pity they didnt have LR's though ,

    I thought Pat Callinan had a Defender, be nice to see one instead of the constant flow of Toyotas and Nissans, Regards Frank.
