If you go back and watch the early original Top Gear you'll hear plenty of crickets too.

The Girlie drew the Colin Lane likeness too.

But for now, I reckon the whole thing is like home brand chocolate...

Not as bad as it could have been.

Thing I didn't like was how bad it looked. Top Gear usually looks gorgeous, the only part of the Australian version that came close was the Maybach story, and the worst had to be the track sections which looked like a slow day in a paddock.

    Hmmm
Perhaps a bit too early to call.
Just that it didn't leave me wanting for more.
Not sure what I was expecting, most cars been done already, now it will just be re-hashing really.

Oh well, better than going through car-sales again.

in the opening scenes, you could pick who was (trying to be) who in the original UK show. This is something they said from the outset they would not do. The same set and even the damaged car up on the ramp in the background. It gets one more chance next week, but I'm not to optiomistic about its success. 2 (just) out of 10

I dont like bagging things that are new just to be the one to just not like something to be different but that was truely awful.
    That snow story was crap.
Been skiing since i was a kid and driven there since I had a licence. I have driven a datsun 120Y, volvo 144, datsun sunny, three different model telstars, x trail, a honda HRV, nissan pathfinder and the Disco across all of our snow fields in NSW and Vic in real snow on dirt including guthega road before it was part of Perisher Blue in a blizzard and never got in any trouble like they did. it was the dam Smiggins carpark.

2 morons and a guy who draws pretend pictures for a living.

hope SBS didnt cancel the pommie subscription

Some bits were ok, but the next few episodes ought to have a bit more character building of the three guys. Got a feel for Warren and Charlie, didn't think Steve brought much to it.

The track section was awful to watch, with the commentary going flat out, and you don't know where the cars are even heading!
